01. June 2009 to 27. September 2009 on display at ...
...
The  Children Museum
Laendliweg 7
5400 Baden AG / Switzerland
......
......
The stately Villa was built and designed 1896/97 in the style of an italian country house.
The building with its lovely attached park – invites the visitors before or after the visit of the museum for a relaxing and pleasant outdoor stay.
Since the Year 2000 the estate belongs to foundation of the Swiss childrens Museum, donated by the Chappuis-Speiser family.
......
I would like to express my gratitude to the Kaysel family who are the trustees of  it all.
It has been their initiative to give me the opportunity displaying a small fraction of my collection to the public until the end of September 2009.
......

......
In the entrance area the first three Barbie dolls greet everybody with big smiles.
There are Elvis and Priscilla's Wedding Day, and in the background John Travolta as Edna Turnblad.
......
......
.........
Setup discussion with Sonja, Marcel and myself of how to present the dolls in their shelves and how many.
......
...
...
...
...
...
......
The first shelf is accomplished and we deserve a break.
Here I show dolls of my collection from the Years 1959 - 1985, which I have labeled individually with names, fashion and Year of origin.
......
......
...
...
......
In the subsequent list I summarized all the dolls that I have on display in the childrens Museum.
I deliberately renounced to display only blonde dolls, because I want to show that Mattel also produced ethnic-
and many other dolls with different hair colors.

Of course flyers and publications of the past 50. Years about Barbie are a must.
All this had been compiled and arranged with the kind support of the museum's trustees, the Kaysel family.

......
The guestbook is an absolute highlight, where every child or visitor may comment their impressions.
Some pages are created with great care and interesting designs.
......

......
With the helping hand of Marcel we are covering triangular shelves in which there will be five each Bob Mackie original Barbie dolls.
A tricky business because the fabric was extremely lively and slippery.

My small realistic Barbie world is also very important.
I decided to select the fabric-shop, the bakery and a few sales showcases of a confectionery for this small display.
And here we have a big croud, incredibly that so many Barbie dolls fit in these shops.
......
Unfortunately the Photos show some glare from the glass which is to protect the displays.

......
The culmination of it all is to show how to create a makeover doll from a standard Mattel Barbie doll into a customized personal creation,
this is an example of what we do in our Clubmeetings.
